The new Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Karenbauer!


We spent the weekend in Butler, Pennsylvania, and attended Marshall and Angie's wedding on Saturday. Marshall is a friend of Curt's from high school. The two of them and Shawn Meals (shown below with his awesome wife, Emily) all hung out together in their high school days. We had a nice time visiting with Shawn and Emily, and I got to meet Marshall and his new wife for the first time.

Sold!

Well it's official! My dad and step mom sold their house in Long Beach, California yesterday. They ended up having two offers. The tentative move date to North Carolina is August 1!

Congrats to Liz and Chad who are expecting their first child in January 2008!!!

My NOVA (Northern VA) girls, Alexis and Liz, came down to visit me on Saturday. We spent some relaxing time at the pool, and just enjoyed hanging out for a few hours, which doesn't happen enough anymore! Some more pics of us:

Curt and Christina went to Gannon University together, and she and her husband, Nick, now live in Richmond. They came down to our place this evening and we made chicken/pork/vegetable skewers (yum!), potatoes, and berry shortcakes for dessert!

Tonight we took Bullwinkle and Star for a walk to a local high school and tied them up while we ran around the track. Bullwinkle's love #1 - walks. He definitely perked up, his tail wagging the whole time while he and Star-baby walked side by side. Bullwinkle's love #2 - fetch. When we got home, we threw a rope and Bullwinkle leaped over us to grab it and bring it back. Every time we threw the rope, his enthusiasm heightened. Bullwinkle's love #3 - affection. New addition to the family!

Everyone, meet Bullwinkle!



That's right, we have a new addition to the family. We adopted Bullwinkle tonight from an agency called SHARE. He is a beautiful 1-year-old beagle (already housebroken, thank goodness), rescued from New Kent County.



We are excited to finally get Star a playmate!

Ladies Leadership

I went to a Ladies Leadership conference in Greenville, South Carolina over the weekend. We had a great time and I gained a ton of knowledge that I look forward to applying in my life! Here are some photos from the weekend.
