Mother-Daughter Day at the Theater
Mom & I went to see "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" today at a dinner theater in Fredericksburg. It was great to spend time with mom, and the show was hysterical! We definitely plan on going back again to see another musical.

Dad & Doris
My dad and step mom, Doris, made it to Richmond on Thursday evening for their last stop cross-country before heading to North Carolina. We decided to go to the Virginia Capitol Building today and then finish off the evening at the Tobacco Company. Here are some pictures!

"The Cornfield House"
I finally have some pictures of "the cornfield house." No pics of the inside yet! It's a small white rancher with an addition built on the back - one big "great room" with tinted windows all the way around. Here you go ...

Attack of the beaver
The evening started off calm and peaceful ...

Curt gets our kayaks blown up and ready to travel around the lake at Pocahantas State Park.

We finally set out and it is beautiful! The water was as still as glass. We heard bull frogs making noises in the distance. A beaver is swimming off in the distance, then flaps its tail and heads underwater. Turtles are sunbathing on logs. Cranes are enjoying the evening air.

And then it happens. On our way back through Beaver Territory, we sit in our kayaks admiring some turtles sunbathing on a log. The beaver reappears right next to Curt, and slaps it's tail! Curt jumps! We both start laughing, and then it happens again ... to me! We decided it was best to just let the beaver be and head back to shore. :)

Boys weekend in PA
There aren't too many photos because the guys spent most of the time cutting firewood and putting a new roof on camp!
